Nourish website

Website Redesign

This was a website redesign based on a store named Nourish that creates hand made soaps. After having looked at the website the decision was made to go to the actual store and get a sense of the atmosphere. The original website seemed to lack the personality that the actual store had. Permission was given from Nourish employee to be able to take pictures. The idea was to make the website have a hand touch and welcoming feel to it. The storefront was very friendly and approachable which gave a local sense. After getting a feel for the store sketches and wire frames were created to get the layout ready. The original site map was examined and simplified in the redesigned site. The purpose was to create a five page working website.

This is a functioning website with six coded pages that were created through Adobe Dreamweaver. All of the images used in the redesigned site were personally taken at the Savannah, GA store location. The images were edited, resized, and saved in the appropriate form in order to work properly on the site. The burlap texture was scanned in and edited to work as the background. All of the type in the website is live type and the navigation bar had a roll over color. The outcome through roughs was a simple website that felt very calm and natural which gave a sense of the store.
